When my extremely talented photographer friend, Keith ,and his bride, Julia, asked me to be their wedding photographer I was beyond excited! I have known Keith for many years now and we have shared many laughs and tears. When he introduced me to Julia, I remember thinking the first night I met her, that she would be the woman he would marry. Even though we don’t get to see each other as often as I’d like, we have shared many vulnerable parts of ourselves over the last year. Julia is so kind and thoughtful, I just can’t even say or type how highly I think of her without getting teary eyed. There are just some moments that she gets. You know, those moments that you don’t talk about when you are trying hard to keep it together. Well Julia knows, and she always finds a special way to make sure you don’t feel so alone in your moment. That is such a gift. Just yesterday, and last year, and even the year before I think Keith calls me on my birthday and sings to my voicemail. I always love how he apoligizes before he starts, but still gives it his all when he is singing! That’s a true friend right there!
I can also say that just to see the two of them together, it melts my heart. The way Julia says “Keith Dear” when she is trying to get Keith’s attention. The way Keith calls Julia “Nurse Pretty Girl” at the end of the day, when she comes home from work tired and still in scrubs. It’s a special love that these two have. And even after the many little bumps in the road, it ended up being the perfect day.
I love you both! Thank you for letting me be with you on your wedding day.
Whenever I post pictures from I wedding I ALWAYS write something, but then end up deleting it because it sometime seems so hard to put into words about how you feel. These two folks right here have a special place in my heart and I am so thankful to have been part of their big day. Both Julia and Keith have been great friends to me during some very rough times this year and continue to be consistently thoughtful and caring to everyone around them at all times, without hesitation. I loved getting to know Julia better as she planned for the day in these images. As I continue to go through these images I can hear their voices in my head, Julia’s saying “Keith Dear” and Keith’s saying “Nurse Pretty Girl” and I just smile.
I love that you two found each other and the way you are together is inspiring. Here are a few shots from both Reagan and I that I want to share today.
My super awesome friend, Reagan Powell of West Destiny Drive, invited me to tag along on her fun styled shoot in Jasper, Georgia this weekend. I had originally just planned to hang out but once I saw it all coming together, I could NOT resist taking a few shots. The dress is a custom made dress by Erin Foley of RCB Fashion. Hair/Makeup/Styling done by my super talented friend Crystal Taves! Zoe and her horse Traveler were AMAZING! It was so nice to relax and just have a photographer play day! Here are a few shots from the set.
